Whilst Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire still seem miles away from ever being in the hands of a British player, the Japanese are preparing for TCG cards of the new monsters.

These cards will be promo cards that are given away at McDonalds "Restaurants" between January 17th and February 6th. Of course, this is in Japan only- we're stuck with some sort of Disney cash in or a Hot Wheels/ Barbie hybrid.

The cards are of the three Ruby/Sapphire starters- Mudkip (water), Treecko (Grass) and Torchic (Fire)- aswell as some others like Eneko.

A MAJOR new change that will be introduced with RS cards, is the ability to have 2vs2 battles - just like in the games!
