Red & Green remake on the cards? :: News

Update (8/9): This has now been 100% confirmed (not your fascist 85%) and will be coming out. No release date is known yet, but the October speculation looks very unlikely.

Long story short, Red and Green (not Blue) were the first Pokémon games ever released in Japan. Later a Blue version was released which made the ugly Pokémon sprites look slightly less crappy, but still rather odd. When Red & Blue came out in America, they were both made from Japanese Blue, so the graphics look a bit nicer.

Back into the present, reports suggest that the games are being remade, a bit like the first Resident Evil was for Gamecube, and to be released on the GBA. Presumably they'll more closely resemble RS.

Of course, this does raise an interesting question: trade old Pokémon to Ruby & Sapphire?
