The Pokémon Centre store in New York is two years old- to celebrate this, the staff there are having a pseudo-party to celebrate, and anyone who goes into the store can join in. It's happening today!

• Pokémon Pinball tournament and a Pokémon Mini "battle".
• *Free* pictures with people dressed as Pokémon.
• "Listen to our surprise DJ spin some wax!"- I didn't know that wax made noises, and why is a DJ not playing music? Anyway, my money's on Radio Disney, whoever they are.
• Face painting with Pokémon characters, with the now-standard Mad Hatters, who sound like a laugh.
• "Costume Character Parade"- more alliteration than meaning?
• Prizes and stuff

Remember, this party is happening TODAY (Saturday)! So if you live in New York, I'd go there if I were you.
