The most recent Pokémon movie to hit America has been submitted for an Oscar!

Pokémon Heroes has been submitted for Best Animated Feature at next year's 74th Academy Awards. However, being submitted doesn't guarantee a nomination for the fifth feature film in the series.

If it does get through, it will be up against some other animés, including Cowboy Beebop: The Movie. Dominating the category will be non-animé movies such as Find Nemo, Rugrats Go Wild, Piglett's Big Movie and Brother Bear.

Last years winner was an animé, Spirited Away.
