Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed in an interview with Japanese Famitsu magazine that a "proper" Pokémon RPG is in development for the Gamecube.

A "proper" Pokémon RPG is in development for the Gamecube. That is to say, catching Pokémon in the normal way rather than snagging them. Apparently, it is being made in association with "strong allies"- if this isn't Game Freak, could it be Square Enix? Capcom? HAL? France?

Also, he said that the fancy new handheld Nintendo DS will be going online sooner than we think - it has built in wireless network capabilities, so if you're near a wifi hotspot, you could be playing online DS very soon.

"Mario 128", a proper follow up to Mario 64 is apparently still being made. Should be interesting.
