Pokemon Snap confirmed for the Wii! UPDATE 11/12 Now In Europe! :: News

..Wii's Virtual Console that is. But with an new update!

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

Remember that really obscure Pokémon game that came out for the Nintendo 64? Well if you don't, Pokémon Snap is more or less a camera game but with Pokémon! It's slated for a releasein Japan's Virtual Console on the 4th of December with the usual 1000 ponits for N64 games (No word for America and Europe mind.) Even more shocking, Nintendo are actually adding Wi-fi to this, even if very minimal.

The pictures you snap, you can send to people in your Friend's List via the Wii's message board, as shown in this image from IGN:

Well what does this mean? If you already have Snap you can buy this again and show off your photos to your friends. If you don't have it, you can buy this for the first time and show off your photos to your friends. If you don't have a Wii, you can cry, like Typhlosion is doing.

UPDATE!

Snap now has a US release date for the 10th December, as confirmed by Pokemon.com. Will Europe follow suit soon?

UPDATE 11/12/07

The game has now been released on the European Virtual Console, strangely 2 days before we normally get our weekly VC update.
