The American TV Guide rates it above lots of classics

Pikachu comes 15th in the list which isn't atall bad for a character thats less than ten years old, and in a society where most people take a disliking to Pokémon.

It falls short of the top spot, beaten by classics such as Bugs Bunny (#1), Homer Simpon (#2), and some not-so-classic characters like SpongeBob Squarepants (still unproven that it is the source of all evil) and the Power Puff Girls.

Saying this, Pika did manage to kick the proverbial behind of classic characters like Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, Batman, Super Man, Donald Duck, and even Mickey Mouse!
